I didn’t even know how to dream as a child, but I longed for something I didn’t see in anyone around me… On this side of my childhood, I know that only God sees the future and knows how to shape us for the abundant and miraculous future He has planned! I wanted a happy family with lots of kids, a cute husband who would stay and love me forever. What I didn’t know was what that really looked like or how to get it. I had not known who had that kind of life. There was no one in my life for me to see how this kind of life worked. I watched Happy Days on TV and imagined, but I had not seen anything in real life that was anywhere close to what God designed a family to be. I was totally broken and clueless. To this day I know God has orchestrated my life to be a testimony and light on a hill that declares the goodness and kindness of the Lord in the lives of the broken and clueless. Thank you, Father!!!

I’m certain our lives are all different but guarantee we share one thing…
We ALL have heartbreak, disappointment, lost dreams, been stuck, and
maybe still stuck.
Thanks to Adam & Eve our lives will circle seasons which include the seemingly hopeless & devastating times and if we have eyes to see it…. we might even have some miraculous things happen as well.
A life that works WILL be lived by one who has weaknesses, failures, fears & doubts, inadequacies and so much more. These hindrances have the potential to keep us from a happy heart that delights in God. These hinderances separate us from a life that we love and one that works in spite of these things that have been known to be deeply rooted in our minds & hearts…
WE DO NOT HAVE TO LET THESE FAILINGS DECIDE THE FATE OF OUR LIFE!!
These ugly things come TO SEPARATE us from God, God’s plan and our heart’s desire tell us they are in charge (eye roll), but we get to decide what stays and what goes (high five!)! Here’s the bottom line that will still be 100% truth in a million years = Our heart will be sold out to mirror God’s heart and delight in Him OR we won’t…… BUT WE CANNOT BE BOTH. We have a heart for God or we don’t!

God Central (their innermost being),
God their Core (their heart), &
God their Source (One from which everything comes from)
As I DELIGHT IN HIM = what I am fades, and He becomes my all-in-all, my soul desire, my everything, the love of my life, my first love, & my deepest passion.
How do we make “IT” happen??? Simple. 1. 2. 3.
Decide you want to delight in God & invite Him to lead you, speak to you, & make His presence known.
- Take your thoughts captive. With each thought, we feed our heart a dose of delight and put everything else outside where it no longer decides for us.
- Adopt a declaration & declare (yep, say it out loud!). This demands your mind to think about what you want to feed. Here’s your starting declaration…..
His heart is what matters, and my heart delights in Him.
I am transformed in the process.
The end of your story depends on the choices you make today!
You CANNOT CHANGE the beginning of your story BUT you CAN CHANGE the middle (your present) and GET A DIFFERENT FUTURE!

Only He can give you peace & a purpose in suffering.
His process is not easy….. look at Jesus, the birth, life, and the cross. Easy is not what makes it good. Good is fleshed out in the process and new life is experienced.
What is necessary for your success & the abundant life you were created to live requires a heart for God, an intimate, passionate relationship with Jesus and hosting His Holy Spirit in the 360º of your life.
Your heart matters!
If you are going to live a life that works YOU WILL delight yourself in the Lord, set your heart to mirror His, and guard your heart. Your desires are rooted in your heart and will produce the fruit of what your heart loves.
Start with your heart!

ACTIVATION TO DELIGHT IN GOD –
TO DELIGHT IN GOD TONIGHT, AND EVERY NIGHT as you lay your head on your pillow quiet your mind and turn your affections to God. Begin to think about who He is… how He loves… all He’s done for you…. Release your affections on Him until you sense Him. Invite His Holy Spirit to guide you as you delight in His goodness, and fix your heart and mind on Him. Don’t stop until you sense His presence, warms your heart or makes His presence known to you in some way. Fall asleep with your attention on Him. If you awake in the night pick up where you left off and stay captivated in His presence…. STAY engaged! When you awaken in the morning give Him your first thoughts as you lavish your affections on Him before your feet hit the floor or before you check your phone. Give Him your first thoughts of the day.
Caution: Don’t ask Him for anything. Don’t tell Him what to do or what you need. Just turn your heart to Him and don’t change the station until you find yourself in His presence
Need inspiration? What would you long to hear someone you love say to you?? What would they say to make your heart smile?? What would make you feel close to someone even if they were miles away?? Think on these things. Keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God,[a] praising him always. Think about things that He does for you that you don’t even think about….. things like your heart beating, legs that work, eyes that see, a heart made to love Him, the sunrise and the sunset. The rain and seasons that He commands. You get the idea…..
Lavish your love on Him like you would your newborn baby,
the people you love and are thankful for.
This song, Child of God, may help you visualize yourself in God’s presence. Picture yourself speaking to Him….. face to face. Picture yourself kneeling before Him, your King, and know that YOU (yes YOU!!) are His child. He loves you like no other. You are His favorite. He longs to spend time with you! He wants you to know Him intimately so you can see your heart desires come true! He created you to live well and thrive in a life that works! You are prepackaged for an abundant life beyond your sweetest dreams and highest hopes…. You, are His! He is yours!
In a million years not one thing in your life will have value outside of your relationship with Him.
Delighting in Him happens one encounter at a time…..
Choose to make Him your priority and REPEAT…
